Junius Heights Homes for Sale

C.H. Munger developed this neighborhood which encompasses over 700 structures on 190 acres. It’s the largest historic district in Dallas. The majority of homes for sale were built between 1906 and 1940, with a few new constructions thrown in. Junius Heights features the largest collection of Arts and Craftsman homes in the southwest. The area showcases Prairie and Tudor styles. The perfectly lined front porches encourage residents to socialize with neighbors. This throwback is to an earlier time rarely felt in such urban settings.

Many of the large homes from the 1920s have been remodeled, updated, and brought back to life. Some of the homes for sale feature brass fixtures, bands of diamond-paned casement windows, ornate doors, and one- and two-story columns. There’s even a house built from Frank Lloyd Wright's plans originally published in the Ladies Home Journal. Restoration in Junius Heights began in 1970 the same as rejuvenation in Swiss Avenue. Although the results have not been as dramatic, restoration continues to flourish.

Homeowners Association

Residents of Junius Heights boast of an active neighborhood association that obtained historic designation in May 2005. This made it Dallas’ newest and largest historic district. Residents enjoy planned community living at its best. Other benefits of living in this community include shared amenities and services at a low cost, strong property values, and other neighborhood events and parties.
