We all know Austin is the hottest place to live in Texas. And to accommodate the flow of new residents moving in, developers are ever building new places to live. Here’s a look at three of the best new subdivisions in the capital area.

1. Solavera

Solavera is coming to south Austin this fall from Meritage Homes. This  new community will bring beautiful, energy-efficient homes to the heart of Austin, near Del Curto Road. Solavera will offer one-of-a-kind homesites, that combines new construction with serene, mature trees, a nearby park, and an incredibly convenient location to the hottest downtown in central Texas.  All homes will include 2-car garages and prices average around the $400,000 mark.

2. Gabriels Grove

For luxury living near Austin, Gabriels Grove in Georgetown (about 30 miles from downtown) is the place to live. Located in  the central part of Texas Hill Country, Gabriels Grove features one-plus acre home sites with gorgeous views and an abundance of native trees, all in a private and secure gated development . The community is served by the vaunted Georgetown ISD. Priced from $469,900 to$679,900.

3. Paloma Lake

In neighboring Round Rock, minutes from downtown, is Paloma Lake. This beautiful new community, served by the Round Rock Independent School District, features swimming pool and amenity center, an on-site children's playscape; greenbelt hiking trails, and an on-site fishing camp, all less than a mile from the gorgeous 570-acre Old Settlers Park Posted by Richard Soto on

All of these neighborhoods look like great places to buy a home. I'm considering Gabriels Grove because of it's location and beautiful views of nature. Thanks for sharing these neighborhoods; they all look like fantastic options!
