There’s something about food trucks that makes grabbing a bite kind of like a scavenger hunt. And since Bryan-College Station is a college area, food trucks are abundant and delicious. These five food trucks are worth the trip around Aggieland, for sure.

Chef Tai’s Mobile Bistro

Chef Tai’s might just be the pinnacle of food truck dining. And in this case, that’s a lot more impressive than it might sound. Usually parked on the A&M campus, Chef Tai’s has garnered the attention (and praise) of the Food Network for its off-beat blend of international cuisines. Where else can you choose from barbecued pulled pork sandwiches and tofu Florentine?

Wafology

Not a breakfast truck, but rather an unending exercise in excellent eats in the tradition of chicken-n-waffles. You can try the chicken-n-waffles or maybe the kebob burger. Or, if you’re vegan, there’s a good selection for you too. You can usually find Wafology on the A&M campus during daytime hours.

Big Daddy Z's

Probably the most colorful food truck in Texas, Big Daddy Z’s offers the flavors of Southeast Asia, the South Pacific, the Caribbean, and the Gulf Coast with a Texas attitude. It’s unique, multi-flavored, and guaranteed to make you a fan of new taste experiences.

Sugba

Ever had authentic Filipino cuisine? You should. And you should try it from Sugba, the bright yellow food truck at the Filipina Asian Emporium. This beloved truck offers dishes from pork to seafood and all things in between, with a distinctive South Pacific zing.

Lew’s BBQ

Don’t deny it, we know you want some BBQ. And if you want it for lunch, you absolutely have to get some at Lew’s. Brisket? Check. Ribs? Double check. Awesome? You know the answer to that. And you can feel great about eating here because 10 percent of every day’s take goes straight to local charities. Posted by Richard Soto on
