Home construction in Briargrove began in the 1950s with one-story ranch homes. Deed restrictions were later modified in 1986 to allow for two-story home constructions. Many homeowners are now remodeling the original 1950s style houses and replacing them with new larger two-story custom-built homes. Briargrove is made up of approximately 900 single-family homes which the majority comprising ranch-style homes.
