Located just 20 miles north of downtown Dallas and just 20 miles from the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, Frisco is a swiftly growing community that has recently been ranked as one of the fastest-growing cities in Texas. The population in Frisco has gone from just 6,000 in 1990 to nearly 100,000 just 20 years later.

Golfers enjoy the three golf courses found here, while a night out can be enjoyed at one of the city’s entertainment venues, including the Dr. Pepper Center, Rough Riders Stadium and the Stonebriar Mall, or at the many restaurants and shops.

Frisco has become a popular place in which to lay down roots for a number of reasons: its year-round temperate weather and sunny skies; its below-average property taxes; and its many employment and business opportunities. In fact, Frisco is located in what is now referred to as the “Golden Corridor” because of its location along the Dallas North Tollway, near both Dallas and Fort Worth. The Frisco Independent School District boasts a low teacher-student ratio and is one of the fastest-growing school systems in the country.

Frisco Homes for Sale

Many of the homes in Frisco have been built within the last five years, thereby making the real estate here some of the newest in Dallas. The real estate prices in Frisco range quite dramatically, from the low $100,000s to well over $2 million, thereby attracting home buyers of all price ranges.

Some of the new builders represented in Frisco include: Mercedes Homes, DR Horton and Highland Homes, among others. Frisco real estate market is still considered one of the hottest markets in Dallas because of its influx of new homes and new home communities.

Frisco boasts mainly single-family homes, with some of those homes located in golf course communities. Frisco is also home to a number of age-restricted communities, thereby making this area of Dallas popular among retirees and empty nesters.
