The Dallas Zoo

It is not just a zoo, but you are guaranteed to have a complete zoological experience on this 95-acre park. It is home to many endangered and rare species, including Indonesian and Sumatran tigers. Kids can have lots of fun at the Lacerte Family Children’s Zoo, which has pony rides, petting zoo, and a running stream. Bahama Beach Family Waterpark

This water park is open every year from the weekend of Memorial Day up to Labor Day. There is a separate section for little kids where they can enjoy in an interactive water playground that has a thousand gallon dumping bucket. Bigger kids can have a lot of exciting fun on the slides that are 45 feet tall. Adults can have a more relaxing time by floating down the Lazy River, or wading in the zero depth beaches.

The Dallas World Aquarium

Whether you want to see a 40-feet waterfall, exotic birds flying overhead, a mesmerizing dance performance of the Mayans, or witness the frenzied feeding of crocodiles, you can see it all at the Dallas World Aquarium. This is actually a zoological park that features penguins, sloths, a 400,000 gallon shark tank, huge catfish, funny otters, elegant jaguars, rare manatees, and New World monkeys. It is conveniently located within walking distance from the American Airlines Center and the Convention Center.

Zero Gravity Amusement Park

The only amusement park in the world that features the best extreme thrill rides. Experience a seven-story drop with Bungee Jumping, or have the incredible experience of gliding above 100 feet from the ground at the Skycoaster. If you want to experience what it feels like to blast off in a rocket at 70 mph, have a ride on Texas Blastoff. How about experiencing a free fall from 16 stories? Yes, you can do that at Nothin’ but Net. The amusement park has something thrilling for all members of your family, and all rides are very safe.

The Perot Museum of Nature and Science

 Recently opened in December 2012, the museum offers an excellent opportunity to kindle curiosity and experience the world of science. The museum has been a favorite of children provides a living science lesson to all ages.

The five-floor building houses eleven exhibit halls with 3D animation and sophisticated video technology that provides life-like simulations and other breathtaking videos. Visitors can explore various scientific concepts through hands-on activities, educational games, and interactive kiosks. The museum provides never-before-seen illustrations of technology, conservation, and engineering. The lower level houses learning labs, education wing, flexible auditorium, and a museum for little kids with a courtyard and outdoor space for play.
